The Charm of Nishikigoi

Known as the nishikigoi pattern nishiki “swimming (or living) jewel”, the unique name for this koi fish comes from the Japanese word “nishiki” which traditionally means beautiful or elegant things.

People all over the world are attracted by the koi’s “peaceful” and “friendly” characteristics. The therapeutic effects of observing and interacting with fish is widely cherished, watching them swim is melodic and relaxing.

Since koi are freshwater fish, you can create a relaxing koi fish garden almost anywhere. No worries even if it is not easy for you to create a koi fish garden, you can now have your own koi fish handily with you anytime, anywhere!

Today, we’d like to introduce you CASIO G-SHOCK DW-5600JK-1JR, one of the G-Shock Nishikigoi Koi Series that is based on Japanese koi fish.

The design is based on the motif of "Nishikigoi," a living jewel and a work of art that swims and is popular overseas. The three base models are the original three-eye model "DW-6900", the digital-analog combination "GA-100", and the standard square model “DW-5600JK".

The DW-5600JK has a black base with a red and white pattern printed on the face, based on the image of the "Showa Sanshoku", a black body with red and white patterns all over. The familiar black of the case makes the dials even more eye-catching.
