As a famous sake that represents Akita Prefecture, "Takashimizu 高清水" is known not only in the Tohoku region but throughout the country. What is “Warming Aging Moksha”?

 

As the sake matures during storage, it may rarely develop aging sludge, a sign of full maturity. Sake that has matured sludge is called "Gedatsu" and has been prized by some connoisseurs. Takashimizu's "Aged Gedatsu" sake is made by using a unique heating and aging technique to stably generate aged sludge, which is then filtered out. It is a golden-colored Junmai Ginjo-shu with a light matured aroma and a sense of transparency.

 

"Gedatsu (解脫 liberation)“ comes from the concept of "Moksha" (liberation due to reincarnation) in Indian culture or "Zen" in Buddhism. The literal meaning can be interpreted as "Emancipation liberation”.
